Pustotnik Cheese

Due to a longer ageing period, Pustotnik cheese has a characteristic piquant taste and a rich aroma.

During the ripening process, the cheese is gradually losing moisture. This reflects in a dry and relatively hard rind, which is yellowish-brown in colour, as well as in a firm and brittle texture. Pustotnik cheese has a piquant, intense and pungent taste, characteristic of aged cheeses, as well as a clean and prominent milky aroma.
